2016 Youth Initiative Project

In 2016, our foundation sponsored two school projects in Winnipeg, MB under the direction of Youth Outreach Coordinator Ms. Linda Kohut, a retired school teacher. After enlisting the help of 2 grade 6 classes at Calvin Christian School and 1 grade 7 class at John Pritchard School, we held a 4 day event at Polo Park Shopping Centre that housed memorial prints of the soldiers the students were able to research and find photos of. This was probably the most exciting and successful event that our organization was able to plan and execute. The community support and dedication of these students was something that we could have only hoped for!

Remembrance In Action: Print Presentation to Strathcona County Council

June 14 2016 – Sherwood Park, AB – Together with Bonnie Ferguson of the Royal Canadian Legion Tofield Branch, the Canadian Fallen Heroes Foundation was invited to join family members of local fallen heroes in a presentation to the County of Strathcona Council of memorial prints. 18 new prints will be joining 12 already prominently on display on the Wall of Remembrance located outside of the Council Chambers at the County of Strathcona Municipal Building.

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Miss Ferguson for her commitment and determination to honouring the fallen and the Strathcona County Council Members for their commitment to bringing these fallen back home.

Our sincerest gratitude is extended to the family members of the fallen. We are pleased so many family members could join us for the event and witness their loved ones forever be remembered for their sacrifice.

Remembrance In Action: Portrait Display at LloydMall, Lloydminster

On May 25 & 26, 2016 the Canadian Fallen Heroes Foundation was on site at LloydMall to display the 10 memorial prints that the community of Lloydminster commissioned for their fallen heroes. These will be sent to Pioneer Lodge in Lloydminster for permanent display on Remembrance Day 2016 and will be joining 20 already on display.
